A DIY pencil case is a very interesting project for needlework and creative imagination. Of course, you won’t be able to carry such a pencil case in your briefcase because it will quickly become unusable, but tidying up pencils and pens on your desk is very much possible. In addition, a pencil case made according to the proposed description is very cute and will decorate your workplace.

To work, you will need a square piece of cardboard or paper for scrapbooking, which has a dense structure and bright colors, scissors, quick-fixing glue, and felt-tip pens for decoration. If you have small buttons, stickers, beads, or rhinestones in your trinkets box, everything can come in handy when creating this masterpiece.

Step 1

To create this pencil case, take a square piece of cardboard or paper. One side is equal to the length of pencils or pens that are planned to be stored in this pencil case, the other side is equal to or slightly longer than the first, then the pencil case will be very spacious.

Step 2

Make a tube from the sheet of paper and glue it together.

Step 3

Wrap a strip of cardboard of a contrasting color 2 – 3 centimeters wide around the tube, fix it with glue, and cut off the excess.

Step 4

This is the base of the pencil case lid.

Step 5

Coat the edge of the base of the pencil case lid with glue and place it on a sheet of paper of the same color and suitable size. Also, coat the edge of the tube with glue on one edge and place it on paper of the desired color.

Step 6

Wait for the glue to dry and trim off the excess paper around the edge. The result is a pencil case with a lid. All that remains is to decorate it.

Step 7

Draw doll eyes on white paper or cut out ready-made ones and glue them to the body.

For the bow, take a square with a side of 4 – 5 centimeters, fold it diagonally, matching opposite corners, and unfold it back.

Step 13

Make cuts along the marked lines and remove one-fourth of the square.

Step 14

Glue the corners of two opposite triangles in the middle, place a bead or rhinestone in the center, and decorate the free edges of the bow ribbon with cute teeth.

You can make such a pencil case for yourself or give it to your sibling or friend for their birthday. You can also come up with a new decor that emphasizes other interests or preferences. You can put not only pens and pencils in the pencil case but also other small items.
