Origami Kusudama Morning Dew

The voluminous flower that you get as a result of folding resembles a fragrant star anise. If you want to do just that, take a small piece of brown paper. In other cases, paper of any shade is suitable – from pale to the brightest shades. Also, for work, you will need glue to connect the petals. So, let’s begin!

Step 1

Cut out 5 identical squares. We chose purple paper and cut out 12×12 cm squares.

Fold the square in half diagonally.

Visually divide the bottom side of the resulting triangle in half and bend the side corners towards the center.

Open the right corner.

Visually, the right side of the product is divided into two parts.

Fold the bottom piece in half.

Make another fold towards the center.

Move to the left bent part of the figure.

Fold it in half from the center.

Fold the shape in half vertically.

Bend the small triangle on the right towards you and hide it in the “pocket”.

In the same way, make the remaining four petals.

Using glue, connect two petals, as shown in the photo.

Continue gluing the petals one at a time.

If you use liquid glue, press the parts together for 1-2 minutes, so that they have time to hold together well. You can make a whole bouquet of paper flowers and choose a suitable vase. As a result, you get an interesting gift or an original interior decoration. Experiment with paper, shades, and sizes. Maybe, you will come up with something unusual!
