Origami Trooper Airplane

A miniature airplane that you can always take with you in your bag or backpack. However, you should not let its tiny size fool you about its abilities! The expression “A reed before the wind lives on, while mighty oaks do fall.” fits perfectly here. This origami model flies very quickly, is precise, and can easily cover distances of more than 10 meters. In addition, “Patrol” looks very beautiful and unusual: to many, it resembles a fighter plane.

This origami can be classified as an average level of difficulty, although it takes very little time. However, the instructions include several bends that need to be done symmetrically, so the youngest aircraft modelers may need adult help.

Step 1

Prepare a sheet of A4 paper (21×28 cm) and place it vertically.

Step 2

Fold the sheet in half, with the top down.

Step 3

Fold the paper in half again, folding the left side to the right.

Step 4

Carefully crease the last fold and unfold the paper.

Step 5

In the resulting rectangle, bend the upper corners to the center fold line so that their edges meet on it.

Step 6

After creasing all the folds, unfold the paper completely.

Step 7

Now, fold the paper like an accordion, as shown in the photo.

Step 8
Step 9

Flip the top layer of the shape from right to left.

Step 10

Fold the right and left halves of the figure symmetrically towards the center.

Step 11

Now, bend the bottom edges to the sides at the same angles, following the photo instructions.

Step 12

Flip the top two layers of the shape from left to right.

Step 13
Step 14

Similarly, fold the side halves into the center.

Step 15

Then, symmetrically bend the lower parts in different directions.

Step 16

Flip one layer from right to left.

Step 17

Fold the shape in half as shown in the photo.

Step 18

Make two symmetrical bends to create airplane wings.

Step 19

Now, bend the top flaps so that they stick up.

Step 20

Just look how handsome it turned out!

Do you know what is the most important thing about this paper airplane? The fact that you made it with your own hands!
