Heart Origami
The perfect Valentine’s card is the one made with your own hands! The person you give it to will surely appreciate the gift, on which you have worked personally and put your heart into it.
In the origami technique, there are many different ways to fold a heart. The one we will describe below is one of the simplest, it takes very little time, and it can easily be done with children. Shall we try it?
Take a 15×15 cm square sheet of paper. If you take colored paper, this side should be at the bottom.
Fold alternately along the two diagonals. Work out the folds, unfold.
Fold the top corner to the center point.
Now fold the bottom corner to the top edge of the paper.
Fold the right side into the middle so that its bottom edge coincides with the center line.
Repeat the last action from Step 5 on the left side.
You may think that the heart is ready, but the final touches are left. Turn the shape over.
Fold the side corners inward.
Fold the top corners inward as well.
After turning the figure over again, you can finally admire the result.
All that is left is to add a signature in the center if you wish, or perhaps you would like to decorate your heart with glitter and rhinestones. It’s just a small matter – give it to the one you love.
