We suggest you fold a heart out of a dollar bill. It’s easy and very unique! You will definitely impress your significant other.
By the way, in the art of origami, there is a whole current in which figures are made from money bills. And it even has its own name — monegami. So, let’s start folding your very special monegami!

Step 1

Take a banknote, lay it face down, and fold the bottom edge under.

Step 2

If you are using a dollar bill, the denomination should be visible on the back.

Step 3

Fold in half crosswise, and then return to its original position.

Step 4

Bend the right and left edges to the center fold line so that they meet on it.

Step 5

Turn the shape over.

Step 6

Make two folds diagonally in the central part of the shape. The contour of the heart is already visible!

Step 7

Make two more folds, this time with the outer corners.

Step 8

Fold corner A and corner D so that points A and B, C and D meet.

Step 9

You can now see the distinctive contours of your future heart. Check well with the photo below.

Step 10

Finally, the last step: turn the figure over.

A wonderful gift is ready! If you make several of these hearts, you get a whole garland!
