Origami Diamond
The size of the largest diamond in the world is 100x65x50 mm. It is called the “Star of Africa” and weighs more than 600 g. With the help of origami, you can make the world’s lightest diamond with your own hands. It will take you about 10 minutes.
Take a square of origami paper or ordinary one-sided colored paper with a size of 15×15 cm. Shades of blue and green will be best. Lay the paper with the colored side up.
Make folds along the two diagonals of the square and fold it into a triangle, as shown in the photo.
Turn the figure over and do the same with the two bottom corners. You should get a square with the bases of the two triangles meeting on the diagonal line.
Turn the figure over and do the same with the bottom two triangles. You can already see the shape of the diamond!
Now turn the diamond over with the base toward you and find the “pockets” in the bases of the triangles. Carefully spread them out and twist them.
A beautiful paper diamond is ready! Now you can make original gifts to your loved ones.
