Origami Double Bladed Glaive
This is a melee weapon for hand-to-hand combat, with sharp blades on both sides of the shaft, which are pointing in different directions. The capabilities of a warrior armed with a glaive included not letting the enemy get close, knocking them down, stunning, disorienting, and striking. In hand-to-hand combat, the most resilient and fastest warriors had the advantage. A fighter who skillfully wielded a glaive could easily deceive the enemy, who did not even have time to understand which side the danger was coming from.
You can make an excellent example of a glaive from an ordinary paper without drawings or markings. If you follow the instructions exactly, you will get a weapon with a dense shaft and wide blades about a meter long. To create it, you will need seven sheets of A4 paper and a little glue. In the game, such weapons will not cause harm. You can practice defense and attack techniques by making directed lunges, rotations, and interceptions. It is also possible to develop manual dexterity and speed of movement.
For the handle shaft, twist the tube along the long side and secure it with glue. Arrange two sheets of paper so that the bottom sheet protrudes a couple of centimeters. This is the place for gluing.
Coat the inside of the blade shape with glue. Place the tube on the fold line so that half protrudes outward.
Close and press tightly, squeezing the tube on both sides. Repeat the steps with the second blade shape.
Place the handles of the two blades in the center. Arrange the blades so that they are directed in different directions. Wrap a sheet of paper coated with glue around two handles.
If desired, the length of the shaft can be increased. This must be done during the step of connecting the handle parts. It is enough to twist an additional tube according to the proposed description and connect the parts one by one.
