The Hammer is a small but powerful and fast aircraft. Its shape allows it to perform stunts while flying and land well. It is easy to make, so if you do not have much experience with origami, this is a perfect option. You just need to follow our simple and understandable step-by-step instructions.

Before you can start folding, you should prepare some thick paper and get ready for some interesting work – immediately after assembly, you can test the aircraft in action. Let’s start!

Step 1

Cut out a 22×28 cm rectangle from paper. It can be smaller or larger, as you like. The main thing is that the ratio should be approximately the same.

Step 2

Make two folds, which will serve as a guide for the following steps. First, fold one section, pointing the top left corner towards the right side, and then repeat the same action with the opposite section.

Step 3
Step 4
Step 5

Bend the left side of the shape towards the center, focusing on the fold made in the previous step.

Step 6

Also, bend the right side of the figure.

Step 7

Fold the paper in half along the vertical axis and return it to its original position.

Step 8
Step 9

Fold the figure in half horizontally, so that the top and bottom sides match.

Step 10

Fold the left and right edges of the paper towards the center.

Step 11
Step 12

Return the figure to its original position.

Step 13

Bend the part in the middle upwards so that its bottom corners coincide with the fold lines made in the previous step.

Step 14

Bend the left and right sides of the figure, as shown in the photo.

Step 15
Step 16

Bend the top of the figure down towards you.

Step 17

Flip the paper over to the wrong side up, so you can proceed to the next folding step.

Step 18

Fold the figure in half horizontally.

Step 19

Fold in half first and then the other wing of the aircraft.

Step 20
Step 21

Then, you can crease the folds, giving the craft a finished look.

Step 22

Your Hammer is ready.

Step 23
Step 24

This compact and lightweight aircraft can make sharp turns in the air. We encourage you to experiment with paper of different weights and sizes of the aircraft. Which models do you think will be the most successful?
