Origami Lantern
We will show you an easy and understandable way to make a paper lantern. This does not require complex skills. Even if this is your first origami, you can definitely do it. You will surely want more! Follow the step-by-step instructions.
Cut out a 15×15 cm square and place it face down.
Fold it diagonally – first on one side, then on the other side to make two assisting folds.
Fold the corners of the square, so that their edges meet in the center of the figure.
Turn the shape over.
Fold the corners towards the center again, as in step 5-6.
Turn over the figure.
Once again, fold the corners to the center.
Turn the shape over.
Bend one of the 4 squares, lift and press as shown in the photo.
Repeat this action with the opposite square.
Crease all the folds, so that the figure takes shape.
The flashlight is ready!
If you make a lot of multi-colored paper lanterns and attach them to a string, you will get a beautiful garland for decorating a room or festive decor. Experiment with paper: maybe it will be golden or silver, with sparkles or a bright pattern – it all depends on your imagination.
