Origami Modular Braided Wreath

A modular Origami Wicker Wreath is a beautiful decoration that can be made from 18 modules without any glue. It will work great in place of a Christmas card or to decorate your home, or your Christmas tree.

To make one module of this origami, you will need a 75mm x 75mm square piece of paper. Actually, you can use any size square paper, but 7,5 x 7,5 cm is what we recommend. The resulting wreath will be about 11cm in diameter.

Step 1

Take a piece of paper. Fold the paper in half along the horizontal and vertical axis. Then unfold it.

Fold the top right and top left corner to the center of the paper.

Fold points 1 and 2 to points 3 and 4. Then unfold the paper.

Fold points 5 and 6 onto points 7 and 8.

Turn the paper over. Fold in the corners as shown.

Fold in the bottom edge of the paper.

Flip the paper over.

Fold the paper in half.

This makes one module.

Step 16

Make 17 more modules, repeating all steps to make 18 modules.
