Origami Pigeon
Dove is a symbol of love, purity, and loyalty. Hence, there is no surprise, that these birds are one of the most popular models to be made in the origami technique. Below you will find step-by-step instructions, with the help of which you will be able to create your dove, a bird of peace, in just a few minutes. As the most symbolic doves are usually depicted in white, we recommend you choose plain white paper for this figure.
You will need any paper of origami paper. If you are using paper that has only one colored side, then lay it colored side down. In the case of white or fully colored paper, it is not necessary to determine the front and back sides.
It is worth noting that this article uses standard origami paper measuring 15cm x 15cm.
If you don’t have one, then don’t worry! You can make it yourself from an A4 paper. There are many instructions on the internet.
Fold the paper diagonally from top to bottom as shown in the picture.
Unfold the paper.
Fold it diagonally in another plane.
Fold the left corner as shown in the picture.
Fold back only the upper part of the resulting triangle.
Fold the resulting design in half.
Fold back the wings.
Now, you need to form the beak and head of the bird. To do this, fold the part shown in the figure along the line so that you get a triangle pointing down.
Done! You should get something like this.
