Origami is an art that reaches into the farthest corners of our lives and can come in handy where you don’t expect it at all. For example, the origami technique has a simple pyramid design that can be used to fold napkins on a holiday table – it will turn out magical. You’ll be happy to know that it’s very easy to fold. We demonstrated this technique using a square sheet of paper as an example.

Of course, the texture of napkins is softer, so the pyramid shape will not be so distinctive. But we recommend practicing on classic or origami paper first, because paper napkins tear easily, and on textile napkins, you need to make more effort to smooth out the folds. When you make such a pyramid out of paper, it will be much easier to repeat all the steps on a new material.

Step 1

Fold the square diagonally.

Step 2

Fold the side corners so that they join at the top corner.

Step 3

Turn the shape over.

Step 4

Fold in half with the top down.

Step 5

Now fold in half along the line in the center.

Step 6

Place vertically: not only the paper in our example but also your napkin should be standing up.

Step 7

It’s very pretty, isn’t it? Folding a napkin in this way takes no more than a minute, so this method is rightfully popular.
