Origami Square Base (Method 2)
Below we are introducing another way to assemble this basic paper shape. Making a lot of origami starts with this square basic figure. So if you want to master this art or just fold something interesting out of paper, craft this basic pattern. The square base is also used for other small elements, such as, for example, the squash fold, so it’s quite important to follow all the steps in this instruction thoroughly.
As it is one of the basic origami figures, it might not seem very fun and interesting to practice it, however, it is very important. How to make a square base origami?
The origami square base figure is one of the essential basic folds for many origami models. To make the base, you will need a square sheet of origami paper (15×15 cm) in the desired color, and a bit of your time. Follow the step-by-step instructions on our website and you will see how easy it is.
Fold the square sheet of paper diagonally.
Fold in half again so that the fold line runs perpendicular from the right angle to the base.
Halfway through this fold, unfold the paper and spread it out on the table as shown in the photo.
Turn the paper over and repeat step 3.
Iron all the folding lines well, and you can already see the result!
