Origami Stealth Glider Airplane
The design feature of a glider made according to the proposed instructions is a large plane with no nose and tail and with a body that smoothly flows into the wings. The aerodynamic properties of long soaring are provided by a dihedral angle of 120 degrees between the wings. The creation process does not require additional materials or tools other than paper.
Stealth is a technology in the aircraft industry that reduces the visibility of aircraft in the sky, both by radar and with the naked eye, which is achieved by the shape of the body and coating materials. In other words, Stealth is invisibility.
Of course, when designing paper airplanes, it is not possible to use special coating materials, but making a shape close to stealth technology and using camouflage coloring is quite possible. To do this, you need to fold a glider out of sky-colored paper, and on the top side draw streaks and lines in green, gray, and brown.
Draw diagonal lines, alternately aligning the top of the sheet of paper with the right and left sides.
Fold the upper part of the paper into a two-layer triangle; to do this, bend the sides towards the center of the paper, aligning them along a vertical line.
Bend the halves of the base of the upper triangle upward, aligning them with the middle, to make a rhombus.
Fold the small triangle towards you along the lines of the bases of the inverted small triangle. Open the folds of Steps 10 and 11.
The small upper triangle has pockets on the sides; you need to tuck the right corners of the inverted small side triangles into them, as in the illustration.
Fold the airplane in half along a vertical line, matching the sides and corners, and turn the fold line upward.
Bend the edge of the wing up one-third parallel to the edge, and turn it over to the other side.
Make the flaps at a 90-degree angle, compress the base, and paint camouflage coloring on the wings.
You need to launch the glider with a directed movement away and upward. It is possible to launch from a height while maintaining safety. You shouldn’t launch your Stealth from the balcony, it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to get it back, but launching it down the slide on the playground is a good idea. It is interesting to watch how the glider smoothly descends onto the intended landing strip.
