Origami Sword
A great toy idea for your child, especially if he loves cartoons about knights or samurai, is an origami sword. This is just perfect, because this origami figure looks very realistic, but it is absolutely safe.
The instructions below will help you make a very cute little sword, but you can get a bigger sheet to make it look more like a real sword. As for the color – for a more realistic look, we recommend choosing gray tones of paper.
Turn the paper 90 degrees counterclockwise. Make two diagonal folds along the dotted lines, shown in the photo, then unfold.
Take the top layer and fold it to the left, then spread the paper out on the table – it should fold along the diagonal folds.
Assemble the sword: insert the first part into the hole in the center of the second part, as shown in the photo.
If you complete it with an origami helmet, you will get a real knight’s set.
