Origami Tulip with Stem

The tulip flower is a symbol of tenderness and harmony. Tulips have many colors, each with a specific meaning. A red flower symbolizes mutual love, orange – the warmth of friendly relations, white – respect and gratitude, and pink – care and participation. There is a very interesting way to make a beautiful tulip from paper using the origami technique.

The creation process uses a square of the main color for the bud and half a square of green color for the stem and petals. Reading the diagram and folding the first craft will take a little more than ten minutes. However, the subsequent ones can be dealt with much faster, so in half an hour you can make a whole bouquet of 5 – 7 tulips. The bud capsule becomes voluminous after inflating. The pointed petals can be given the desired shape.

Step 1

For the flower bud. Draw the lines of the square diagonals.

Step 2

Connect opposite corners and crease the folds. Open back.

Step 3

Fold the square in half horizontally and vertically.

Step 4

Open back.

Step 5

Connect the horizontal middle line in the center to form a double triangle.

Step 6
Step 7

Connect the side corners of the upper triangle to the top on both sides.

Step 8
Step 9

Open the figure with a smooth rhombus without folds, insert the side corner into the fold of the opposite corner, and crease the folds.

Step 10
Step 11

Turn over. Repeat the same on the other side.

Step 12

Find a hole in the base and blow air into it to straighten the folds. The result is a box.

Step 13

Bend the sharp corners on four sides, shaping them to resemble petals. If the petals are not bent to the sides, you will end up with an unopened bud.

Step 14

For the leaves. From half a green square, cut a narrow strip along the long edge.

Step 15
Step 16
Step 17

Fold the strip in half crosswise, sharpening the ends.

Step 18

For the stem. Roll the remaining part of the paper into a thin tube diagonally and secure with glue.

Step 19

Collect flower parts. Glue the leaves opposite each other. Insert the tube into the hole through which the box was inflated.

Step 20

It turned out to be a wonderful tulip flower.

There are a lot of reasons to make a paper tulip: to express feelings, show attention, please, and give originality to a gift. You should not find it hard to make a tulip and present it to a loved one as a little surprise – life will become brighter and more interesting.
