Origami UFO Airplane

Have you ever seen an unidentified flying object? What about a flying saucer? Thanks to its rounded tail, this aircraft model looks like an alien aircraft. This shape also affects the nature of the flight: the plane moves smoothly, as if floating. For this reason, it looks even more like a flying saucer. Sometimes, when there is a gust of wind, it can curl up and fly in twisted loops.

You have the opportunity to fold this airplane model using the origami technique according to our detailed instructions and become the owner of an unusual aircraft. All you need is an A4 sheet of paper and scissors.

Step 1

Prepare a sheet of paper of the required size (21×28 cm) and place it vertically.

Step 2

Using scissors, round off the bottom corners. This will be the tail of the plane. To make this easier, you can fold the paper in half along the vertical axis, draw a line where you would cut with a pencil, and cut, grabbing both layers of paper at the same time.

Step 3

Fold the top right corner towards the center line so that its top edge matches it.

Step 4

Fold the upper left corner symmetrically.

Step 5

A triangle has formed at the top of the paper. Fold it down along the bottom border.

Step 6

Now, bend the upper right and left corners inward so that they form right angles.

Step 7
Step 8

Bend the top edge inward by about 1–1.5 cm as well.

Step 9

Next, fold the shape in half along the vertical fold.

Step 10

Fold the top layer of paper along the dotted line outward to form an airplane wing.

Step 11

Turn the figure over and fold the second wing symmetrically.

Step 12
Step 13

You can enjoy the final look of your new aircraft.

This model is very resistant to deformation, so you don’t have to hold back and can launch it with all your might!
