Vases are definitely one of the most useful and elegant decorative items, that can be found in any home. Today on the market you can find any vase you want. There are vases made of glass, ceramic, and crystal. There are even portable folding vases made of plastic that can be easily carried around.

But have you ever seen a vase made of paper? Or have you ever made it yourself? Following the instructions below, you will be able to make an origami vase without the use of scissors and glue. Just pick the desired color and let’s get started.

Step 1

Take a square of origami paper or other paper that you like. The standard size of origami paper is 15×15 cm. A larger square will make a more spacious vase.

Step 2

Make light folds along the two diagonals of the square.

Step 3

Form a double-layered triangle as shown in the photo.

Step 4

Fold the sharp corners of the top layer at about a 45-degree angle overlapping each other.

Step 5

Gently straighten the right and left corners.

Step 6

Flip the folded figure over, and do the same with the sharp corners of the bottom layer. You will need to repeat steps 4 and 5 to do this. Try to make the folds symmetrical.

Step 7

Open up the bottom of the figure and fold the corners, lifting the whole figure as shown in the photo: alloy, left and in half.

Step 8

Now place the figure horizontally in the table, as shown in the photo.

Step 9

Gently stretch all four corners of the figure to the sides, opening the shape up.

Step 10

Now the last step: straighten the vase and place it vertically on the base. Done!

Step 11

Our other instructions show the process of creating flowers. Make them too and make your loved ones happy!
