Insects are extraordinarily beautiful creatures, with fine details and elegant lines. In these instructions, we will show you how to make a dragonfly out of paper. We will have it in green color, but you can make it blue or silver – as the imagination prompts!

Step 1

Prepare the base bird – it is often used to create cranes.

Fold the top of the piece down towards you, as we have shown in the photo.

Turn the product over.

Make an auxiliary fold – you will need it for the next step.

Fold the bottom right side of the piece up and outward, as in the photo.

Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the left side – you get a product that looks like a star.

Divide the top end of the star into 2 pieces.

Fold each of them in half.

Visually divide the bottom piece into 2 equal pieces and fold each piece in half.

Form the dragonfly’s head: fold the left edge 900 down, making two folds inward and one outward.
