Origami Fancy Basket
This is one of the most unusual and beautiful origami baskets you can find. It will definitely become a decoration of your home and take its rightful place in your collection.
This origami corresponds to the average level of complexity. It is less suitable for beginners and young children. With our detailed instructions, this origami fold will be easy and fun. To do this, you will need two sheets of paper measuring 15×15 cm, which can be of different colors, and another small sheet measuring 10×7 cm.
First, you need to fold the base of the origami Boat.
Next, alternately open the paper on four sides and make flattening folds.
The result should look like this.
The resulting large square consists of four small ones.
For one of them, bend the inner corner to the outer one, crease the fold, and unfold.
Fold the same corner to the fold line, unfold.
Now, fold the corner outward so that the fold line is between the two previous folds.
Fold the paper outward again as shown in the photo.
Fold the paper back along the dotted lines.
Repeat steps 4-12 for the other three squares. The first part of the origami is ready.
Take a second sheet of paper and repeat the steps above, stopping at this stage.
Cut the paper following the dotted lines.
Let’s start assembling.
Bend the inner corner on this side outward, then insert it into the pocket.
Repeat the last five steps with the remaining four sides.
Flip the shape.
You need to flatten the protruding corners a little while pressing on the bottom of the figure from the inside, then the basket will become three-dimensional.
Let’s make the last detail – the handle for the basket. Take a small third of sheet of paper, and fold the bottom edge about 1 cm.
Continue folding it inward until you have such a strip of paper.
Insert the handle into the side pockets of the basket, as shown in the photo.
Great, you did it! This basket is very spectacular. It will not leave anyone indifferent and will be a perfect demonstration of what success you have achieved in the art of origami. It is unlikely that anything will be stored in it because of its modest size, but you can decorate it with dried flowers. It will turn out very unusual.
