A handmade rose is a wonderful decoration and a brilliant chance to have fun. It may seem that this origami is difficult to make, but it is not. You will handle it easily enough, but at the same time, the process will be interesting enough to keep you from being bored.

Step 1

Let’s start with the base of the origami Water bomb.

Step 2

Fold the left and right corners with the tips towards the center corner, grabbing only the top layer of paper.

Step 3

Now, bend these corners down, crease the folds, and unfold.

Step 4

Open the paper a little and make a “flattening fold” by pressing on top. Repeat on the opposite side.

Step 7
Step 8
Step 9

Turn the paper over and repeat previous steps on that side.

Step 10
Step 11
Step 12
Step 13

At the bottom of the resulting triangle, you should see two squares. Make a diagonal fold, taking turns at the inner corners.

Step 14
Step 15

Turn over the paper and repeat previous 2 steps.

Step 16
Step 17
Step 18

Bend the top corner down to match the edge of the shape.

Step 19

Crease the fold well, then unfold.

Step 20

Slightly open the paper from the bottom, as shown in the photo.

Step 21
Step 22

Now, the hardest part: you need to flatten the paper to make a square.

Step 23

To do this, you need to take hold of the edges of the paper that stick out vertically in the center and open them by pulling them in different directions.

Step 24
Step 25

Then, fold them into a horizontal plane. Folds of paper on four sides should collapse inward.

Step 26

Turn over the paper.

Step 27

Raise the bottom triangle so that it stands vertically.

Step 28

Touching only the top layer, fold the paper along the dotted line, as shown in the photo.

Step 29
Step 30
Step 31

Rotate the paper 180 degrees and repeat the action again.

Step 32
Step 33
Step 34

The rose is almost ready.

Step 35

There are a few details left: put the figure in the palm of your hand, grab its center, and make rotational movements with it so that the rose acquires a twist. The resulting curved petals can be fine-tuned individually with a pencil or pen.

For a more detailed demonstration, you can use the video tutorial. Then, your rose will turn out to be as beautiful and realistic as possible.
